Netlify helps developers build, deploy, and scale modern web projects. If you're a Netlify user, you can now build, deploy, and scale even faster using the new Command Palette inside the Netlify dashboard!
The Netlify Command Palette, powered by Command AI, is a search-based interface for quick actions and navigation. You can trigger it by clicking the magnifying glass icon, or you can assign a keyboard shortcut to it (like cmd/ctrl+k).
Here are some things you can do with the Command Palette inside Netlify.
SEARCHING FOR AND WITHIN SITES
You can use this Command Palette to search through all your Netlify sites (using the little preview in search results to help find the one you're looking for). When you're on a site, you can jump to site forms and functions without having to first navigate to another page.
SAVE TIME WITH COMMON ACTIONS
Netlify has embedded some of the most common actions in their dashboard as commands.
SWITCHING TEAMS
For example, there's a command for quickly switching teams. You can select the "Switch teams" command or just search for a team and select it.
TELEPORT TO SETTINGS
Random access settings by searching for the setting you're interested in and teleporting right there. For example, if you want to jump to a site's Environment Variables, just open a site, search for "environment variables," and you're taken straight there.
QUICK NAVIGATION FROM A DEPLOY DETAIL
Netlify has taken all the pages people frequently visit after checking out a deploy detail and added them as commands. When you have a deploy detail open on a site connected to git, you can jump to that deploy's repo, pull request, the deploy preview, or the published deploy for the site.
OTHER GOODIES
The Netlify Command Palette is full of other commands you can try out. Some of our favorites.
TOGGLE NETLIFY'S THEME
Set Netlify's theme to light or dark mode, or choose the new "Set theme to system settings" option.
SEARCH DOCS, BLOG, AND SUPPORT GUIDES
If you have a question about something, you can query Netlify's docs, blog, and support guides from the Command Palette without having to first open up those pages.
